41 North Marine, LLC is an established independent marine surveying and consulting firm based in Southern Rhode Island, with seasonal operations in Islamorada, Florida, during the winter months. The firm specializes in pre-purchase and insurance surveys, vessel condition assessments, marine appraisals, and technical evaluations of vessels of all types.

Owner and principal surveyor Barton P. Cerra is a SAMS® Accredited Marine Surveyor (AMS®), NAMSGlobal® Associate Marine Surveyor, and ABYC Certified Master Marine Technician.

 

With over 25 years of professional maritime experience, Bart brings an extensive background in vessel operations, marine engineering, maintenance, and repair. His experience includes work as a yacht engineer, marine technician, towing and salvage operator, commercial diver, and vessel delivery captain.

 

Having surveyed a wide variety of vessels, Bart combines extensive hands-on experience with a thorough understanding of vessel construction, mechanical and electrical systems, structural integrity, and marine industry standards.

 

41 North Marine provides thorough, independent inspections and detailed, objective assessments, with particular attention to vessel safety, structural integrity, overall condition, and market value. Each survey is supported by clear findings, sound technical judgment, and practical recommendations.
